As they study a variety of cultures, I used abstract glyph patterns here instead of scripts of specific culture, in the shape \"C\" of the logo inspired by the old \"manuscripts, inscriptions, and text cultures\". I used bold yet earthy colours here instead of plain washed out colours that are typically used in academic journals which make them look serious and boring.
Every published issue can be represented with changing background colours keeping the template and overall design same.")

They didn't have an existing branding so the idea was to create a new branding with tropical jungle vibe with a mix of minimalism and luxury just like their jewellery which has natural and semi precious materials. The gold frames in the design will be foil printed. After a lot of different concepts and iterations, the clients chose this as a the final design. They also got the flyer and thank you cards printed with Foil printing and you can see the new thankyou cards that I designed for them on their instagram handle https://www.instagram.com/concretejunglede/. It was amazing to work with the team of concrete jungle on this beautiful project !")

Grainmaker is a chef-driven, innovative, fine-casual restaurant built off the traditions of Southeast Asian street culture, blended with a chef-driven contemporary menu targeted towards millennials. I kept the design modern yet rustic, inline with their current branding and website using their amazing photographs combining with typography. Unlike Traditional menu, Their Menu is a 5-step process where the customer has to pick the ingredients and options which are highlighted clearly in the inner pages of the menu. It was a challenge to fit all this uneven information while keeping it legible and well aligned and formatted. The end result came out clean and beautiful. Along with the menu, I designed their flyers, beverage menu and table tents.

The drama is a sad ending, so I brought the feel and tone of that by creating muted effect of the image. I went for a full image concept that covers the entire poster highlighting the two main characters and brings the focus to them and the title of the movie and their names. After many iterations, this was the final concept selected by Marcy. A simple concept with no frills. Less is More :)!")

After 7 years of freelance designing, I've set up my own design studio called Underground Movement where I undertake all sizes of projects from designing a logo for a small bakery, to designing huge web platforms for multi-national corporations.
